Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution for overcoming the barriers to healthcare access in rural areas, especially in developing countries like Pakistan. This study evaluates the impact of telemedicine on rural healthcare delivery in Pakistan, focusing on its role in improving healthcare access, reducing disparities, and enhancing healthcare delivery efficiency. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys with healthcare professionals and rural patients. The study finds that telemedicine positively affects healthcare delivery in rural areas by improving timely diagnosis, patient satisfaction, and the availability of healthcare services. However, challenges such as internet connectivity, infrastructure limitations, and healthcare professional training need to be addressed to fully realize the potential of telemedicine in rural Pakistan. The study offers recommendations for policymakers and healthcare providers to further integrate telemedicine into the national healthcare system.
