Hepatitis remains a significant public health challenge in Pakistan, affecting millions and contributing to a high morbidity and mortality rate. This article explores the current landscape of hepatitis in Pakistan, focusing on prevention strategies, diagnostic methods, and available treatment options. It reviews the epidemiology of the disease, the challenges in implementing preventive measures, the availability and accessibility of diagnostic tools, and the effectiveness of current treatment regimens. A detailed discussion of public health initiatives aimed at reducing the hepatitis burden is presented, along with recommendations for improving the national response. Emphasis is placed on the need for increased awareness, expanded healthcare access, and enhanced infrastructure for effective hepatitis management.
