Mental health issues in Pakistan represent a significant public health challenge. Despite rising awareness, the stigma surrounding mental health, limited resources, and inadequate healthcare infrastructure make it difficult for individuals to access necessary care. This paper explores the mental health challenges faced by Pakistan, focusing on the prevalence of mental health disorders, the burden on public health systems, and the socio-cultural factors influencing mental health care. It also discusses the strategies and policies needed to improve mental health services in Pakistan. The findings suggest that urgent reforms are required to address mental health issues within the context of Pakistan’s healthcare system, while also considering the cultural and socio-economic realities of the population.
