The Pakistan Journal of History and Civilization (PJHC) respects and protects the intellectual property rights of its authors while promoting the wide dissemination of research.

Authors who publish in PJHC retain full copyright of their work without any restrictions. By submitting and publishing their articles, authors grant PJHC a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive their work in both print and electronic formats.

This agreement allows authors to:

  • Maintain complete ownership of their intellectual property

  • Reuse their published work in future books, articles, or academic publications

  • Include their work in teaching and learning materials

  • Deposit the final published version in institutional or subject-based repositories

  • Share their articles on personal, professional, or academic websites

All articles published in PJHC are licensed under a suitable Creative Commons license (such as CC BY). This license permits others to copy, share, adapt, and reuse the content for lawful purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the author(s) and the journal.

Any third-party use of published material must comply with the terms of the applicable license and include proper citation and acknowledgment.

This policy ensures academic freedom, safeguards authors’ rights, and supports ethical publishing practices in accordance with international open access standards.
